Exactly what we needed! We stayed in the Truro room at Captain Freeman Inn for 2 nights. Everything about our stay was perfect! The newly renovated bathrooms and beautiful rooms made this the highlight of our trip to MA. The beds are all gorgeous and comfortable and the décor makes you feel right at home (and wishing your home looked like that!). I highly suggest The Captain Freeman Inn as your place to stay when visiting the Cape. Byron, Donna and Harrison (the Inn dog) welcomed us with open arms! The breakfast each morning was divine! I'm not going to lie to you, it will make you rethink your cooking ability and life choices :) ! Each morning began with hand squeezed juice, squeezed by Byron himself. His specialty Cape Cod Sunrise is the best! Donna’s carefully thought-out, home cooked breakfast is probably the best breakfast we’ve ever had, hands down! In the off season when it’s cold out, breakfast is served in the front room overlooking the beautiful porch with lots of windows and sunlight. In the summer, it is served on the screened-in back deck overlooking the gorgeous garden and pool. It’s absolutely stunning! The Captain freeman gives you a short walk to the beach and easy access to the Main St. to explore the Cape. We left wishing we had more time to stay but we will definitely be making this an annual trip!
Edit: We stayed in the Dennis room (two separate years). It has a fantastic bed and newly updated bathroom. The bathroom is on the small side only to accommodate the large jacuzzi tub.

Excellent breakfasts with a fantastic staff, and this year they had a great musician on staff who played for a bit during breakfast. They have complimentary snacks (such as molasses cookies) and tea in the afternoon, and a dessert of the day. It's great place to be if you want to get away.
Very friendly
The Captain Freeman is a beautiful and very friendly inn. Everything about it is carefully thought out, with plenty of little details to make the stay as comfortable as possible. There's a pool area for lounging around and a peaceful garden with a berry patch. Breakfasts are plentiful and delicious, and afternoon treats are hard to resist. We stayed at the Barnstable room, towards the back of the inn on the second floor, very spacious, quiet, comfortable bed and sitting area, and a fantastic sun porch.
